About this role
We’re hiring an experienced electrical superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale, mission-critical hyperscale datacenter builds across the country. This is a hands-on role focused on electrical scope (not MEP): you’ll supervise crews, direct complex electrical installs, and keep construction moving to schedule while protecting quality and safety. You’ll work directly with project management and owners, coordinate subcontractors and logistics, develop 6–8 week look-aheads, and project manpower and materials needs. Strong NEC knowledge, medium-voltage experience, and proven leadership in datacenter or industrial electrical construction are required.
What you'll do
- Lead day-to-day site operations for hyperscale datacenter electrical scope — supervise electricians, foremen and subcontractors.
- Direct and verify electrical installation work: conduit and raceways, large cable pulls, transformers, switchgear and standby/emergency systems.
- Manage sequencing and logistics: develop 6–8 week look-aheads, coordinate material delivery and on-site storage, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Enforce safety and quality standards on site; perform inspections, hold toolbox talks, and ensure documentation of corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project management and owner representatives — report progress, raise issues early, and support schedule recovery actions.
- Maintain project documentation: as-built notes, daily logs, manpower reports, and signoffs for electrical milestones.
What we're looking for
- Proven field superintendent or foreman experience on hyperscale datacenter or large commercial/industrial electrical projects.
- Strong working knowledge of the current NEC and local code enforcement practices; able to interpret and enforce electrical plans and specs.
- Hands-on skills with conduit bending, raceway/wireway installation, large cable pulls, medium-voltage systems, transformer installation, and overcurrent device selection.
- Experience installing and testing standby/emergency power systems, access control, and low-voltage systems used in datacenters.
- Ability to develop manpower and material projections, manage time-and-material work, and build accurate 6–8 week look-aheads and schedules.
- Clear communicator in English and Spanish; proven leader who enforces safety, manages subcontractors, and resolves field conflicts promptly.
Qualifications
- NCCER certification
- OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certified
- Bilingual: English and Spanish required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites nationwide
