Per diem

Superintendent — Traveling Site Supervisor

Dallas, TX

About this role

Join a team building and inspecting tank and underground utility work across the U.S. As a traveling Site Superintendent, you’ll be the company’s on-site representative managing subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality control to keep projects on track. This role requires frequent travel, hands-on oversight of earthwork and tank-related activities, clear communication with the GC/engineer/owner, and detailed daily documentation. If you have strong field experience and like moving between projects, this role delivers steady assignments and scope for growth.

What you'll do

  • Monitor multiple job sites and subcontractors to ensure tank-related activities meet schedules and project milestones
  • Review plans, specifications, and submittals; verify installation methods and compliance with drawings
  • Perform site layout and maintain as-built locations; oversee QC testing including compaction, pressure, and hydrostatic tests
  • Enforce site safety policies and verify subcontractor compliance (PPE, trenching/excavation, fall protection)
  • Maintain detailed daily logs, photos, and documentation; report conflicts, issues, and schedule impacts to the Project Manager
  • Represent the company at preconstruction and progress meetings; coordinate directly with GC, engineer, and owner

What we're looking for

  • 5–7 years as a site superintendent or lead in underground utility/public works construction
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • Hands-on experience with earthwork, underground utilities, and tank-related construction
  • Layout skills — proficient with laser and transit; ability to read and interpret civil drawings
  • Proven record of managing subcontractors, enforcing safety, and running field quality control
  • Willingness to travel extensively nationwide; able to work per diem assignments

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification
  • 5–7 years superintendent or equivalent field leadership experience
  • Proficient with laser/transit layout tools and civil drawing interpretation
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel long-term
  • Deep foundation or concrete QC experience is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

What we offer

  • Per diem for travel assignments
  • Nationwide project assignments with regular travel rotations
  • Site-specific safety training and ongoing field support
  • Steady pipeline of projects and opportunities for advancement
