Surveyor I

About This Role

Per diem Surveyor I needed in Monroe, LA to perform construction surveying and layout support. You’ll run Trimble GPS gear, take survey notes, read plans, and guide crews through layout for new construction and verification of existing conditions. This is hands-on field work: setting base stations, using SCS 900/GCS 900 and laser levels, and keeping tools in working order. Position requires at least one year of construction-related experience and the ability to travel or relocate for the assignment. No visa sponsorship is available.

What You'll Do

• • Set up and operate Trimble GPS equipment, base station, SCS 900, GCS 900, and laser level
• • Perform layout for new construction and verify locations of structures
• • Survey existing site conditions and record accurate survey notes
• • Read plans and perform basic surveying computations on-site
• • Care for, clean, and maintain surveying tools and equipment
• • Communicate with crew members and supervisors to keep work on schedule

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum one year of related construction or field surveying experience
• • Hands-on experience with Trimble GPS systems, SCS 900, GCS 900, or similar
• • Able to read civil drawings and perform basic surveying calculations
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
• • Capable of physical work: lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements
• • Work independently in the field and follow direction from supervisors

Qualifications

• • CTS Level 1 or equivalent preferred
• • Proven experience operating Trimble GPS, SCS 900, GCS 900, and laser levels
• • Current, valid driver’s license
• • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform field work in varied weather
• • Strong communication and active listening skills
