About this role
We are hiring a CDL Truck Driver based in Eagleville, TN to move equipment and materials between the shop, jobsites, and rental houses. This hands-on role focuses on safe equipment transport, load securement, and daily vehicle inspections. Expect frequent travel, outdoor work, and over-the-road runs. You will work with the equipment team to ensure loads are correct, tied down, and delivered on time. OSHA 10 certification is required; site-provided OSHA 10 training is available. This is a practical role for drivers who follow safety rules, handle equipment, and help keep the shop running smoothly.
What you'll do
- Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials on trailers using chains, binders, and straps
- Transport equipment between shop, jobsites, and rental houses via tractor-trailer and flatbed
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections (oil, tires, lights, leaks)
- Measure and verify load height and legal load limits; ensure proper permits when needed
- Assist around the shop—pick up parts, clean truck beds, wash equipment when not driving
- Communicate with dispatch, shop foremen, and site personnel to confirm equipment and schedules
What we're looking for
- Valid Class A CDL (tractor-trailer) — required
- Comfortable with frequent travel, outdoor work, and over-the-road driving
- Proven experience with flatbed or heavy-equipment hauling and load tie-downs
- Ability to perform daily preventive maintenance checks and basic equipment care
- Strong verbal and written communication with dispatch and jobsite teams
- Follow site safety rules and complete required OSHA 10 training (provided)
Qualifications
- Class A CDL (required)
- OSHA 10 Hour certification (required) — employer-provided training available
- OSHA 30 Hour (desirable)
- First Aid/CPR (desirable)
- Aerial lift, all-terrain material handler, or forklift certifications (desirable)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
