CDL Truck Driver

About this role

We’re hiring a CDL Truck Driver based in Eagleville, TN to move equipment and materials between the shop, jobsites, and rental houses. This is hands-on work: load and secure equipment, perform daily vehicle checks, haul over the road and support shop operations while following strict safety practices. You’ll be on the road frequently and working outdoors. Expect regular pickups and drop-offs, tie-down and load verification duties, and light shop support. OSHA 10 certification is required and will be provided on-site; OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR are encouraged.

What you'll do

• • Transport equipment and materials between shop, jobsites, and rental houses using tractor-trailer and flatbed rigs
• • Load, unload, tie-down and secure loads; verify correct chains, binders, and straps for each pickup
• • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections (oil, tires, lights, leaks, etc.) and report defects
• • Measure and confirm over-height loads, follow transport height/permit procedures, and ensure safe routing
• • Assist in the shop with parts pickup, basic cleanup, truck/equipment washing and light maintenance as needed
• • Communicate clearly with dispatch, shop foremen, and crew; complete required paperwork and load verification

What we're looking for

• • Valid Class A CDL tractor-trailer license (required)
• • Ability to travel frequently, work outdoors, and drive over-the-road for extended periods
• • Experience with load securement, tie-downs, flatbed or heavy equipment transport and load verification
• • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and basic heavy equipment care; able to read maps and follow routing
• • Physical ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs, climb on/off trailers, and work on uneven terrain
• • Follow site safety rules and PPE requirements; strong verbal and written communication with crews and supervisors

Qualifications

• • Valid Class A CDL (required)
• • OSHA 10 Hour Certification (required)
• • OSHA 30 Hour Certification (desirable)
• • First Aid / CPR (desirable)
• • All-terrain material handler and aerial lift certifications (desirable)
• • High school diploma or GED (desirable); English proficiency for clear crew communication
