Fuel Truck Driver
About This Role
Fuel Truck Driver needed in Richmond, VA to operate a fuel delivery truck supporting local construction and transport operations. This is a hands-on, safety-first role delivering gasoline, diesel, and other fuel products to job sites and equipment yards across the Richmond area. You’ll run local routes, perform required vehicle inspections and paperwork, and work closely with site crews to ensure safe, timely deliveries. Must have a Class B CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements and a clean driving record.
What You'll Do
- • Operate fuel delivery truck in and around Richmond, VA to transport and dispense gasoline, diesel, and other fuels.
- • Load and unload fuel safely; connect hoses, monitor transfers and secure product following safety protocols.
- • Perform pre-trip, post-trip and daily vehicle inspections; report defects and complete DOT paperwork, logs, and fuel tickets.
- • Maintain full compliance with CDL, HAZMAT and Tanker regulations, following route schedules and customer delivery instructions.
- • Assist site crews with fueling operations as needed and keep vehicle and equipment clean, secure, and stocked with needed supplies.
What We're Looking For
- • Valid Class B CDL with HAZMAT (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements — required.
- • Experience hauling hazardous materials and operating tank delivery vehicles; proven loading/unloading skills.
- • Strong safety focus and working knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and required paperwork.
- • Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT drug screen and background check.
- • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varied weather, and follow direction on busy job sites.
Qualifications
- • Class B CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements (required).
- • Valid DOT medical card and current driver’s license.
- • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and able to pass DOT drug test and background check.
- • Proven experience with tank vehicle operation, hazardous material hauling, and fuel transfer procedures.
- • Basic reading and math skills to complete delivery tickets, logs and safety forms.
- • English proficiency sufficient for safe on-site communication and compliance with instructions.
