About This Role

Join a heavy civil construction crew in Baltimore, MD as a CDL B Dump Truck Driver hauling materials that keep projects moving. You’ll support site work, grading, excavation, pipe and paving crews by safely transporting dirt, stone, asphalt, and milling debris between locations. This is hands-on work: operate dump trucks on local routes, perform daily inspections and basic maintenance, keep accurate delivery logs, and follow DOT rules and site safety procedures. Ideal candidates have 2+ years’ CDL B dump truck experience and a clean driving record.

What You'll Do

  • Safely operate CDL B dump trucks to haul dirt, stone, asphalt, milling debris and other materials between job sites.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials; check weight distribution and follow legal load limits and haul instructions.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; report and perform basic maintenance (fluid checks, lights, tire condition).
  • Follow assigned haul routes, traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations while on the road.
  • Maintain accurate delivery, load, and mileage logs; communicate status and issues to site supervisors and equipment operators.
  • Work with grading, excavation, pipe, milling, and paving crews to support on-site material needs and schedule changes.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years operating a CDL B dump truck in heavy civil or road construction environments.
  • Valid CDL B license required; CDL A is a plus. Clean driving record and reliable work history.
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations, weight limits, load securement, and truck safety procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic truck maintenance checks and communicate mechanical issues promptly.
  • Capable of physical work in variable weather conditions; able to climb in/out of trucks, secure loads, and handle shoveling when needed.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; available for local routes with possible overtime.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL B license (required); CDL A preferred.
  • Current DOT medical card (certified physical) and ability to pass drug/alcohol testing.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no recent preventable accidents or major violations.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; basic English communication for safety and logkeeping.
  • Willingness to pass background check and comply with site-specific safety and credential requirements.
