Waterproofing Carpenter/Foreman — Orlando, FL
About This Role
Hands-on Waterproofing Carpenter/Foreman needed in Orlando, FL. This role is for someone who can do the work and lead crews on commercial projects — air barriers, joint sealants, below-grade and under-slab waterproofing, hot-applied systems, firestopping, expansion joints and floor polishing. Pay range: $29–$33 per hour. You’ll run day-to-day onsite activities: set priorities, enforce safety, maintain quality and schedule, track labor and materials, and use Microsoft Office plus project/accounting/scheduling software to document work and costs. Expect to work in hot/cold weather, at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear full PPE.
What You'll Do
- • Perform and supervise installation of air barriers, joint sealants, caulking, expansion joints, and floor polishing on commercial projects
- • Install below-grade, under-slab, and hot-applied waterproofing systems and execute firestopping details per drawings and specs
- • Lead and schedule crews, assign daily tasks, enforce safety/PPE, and ensure quality workmanship and on-time completion
- • Read plans and details, lay out work, inspect surfaces, prepare substrate and coordinate with other trades and subcontractors
- • Track labor, materials and equipment in project/accounting/scheduling software; report progress and job costs to management
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 3–5 years commercial waterproofing and fire-prevention scope experience (air barriers, below-grade, under-slab, hot-applied, firestopping)
- • Proven foreman or crew lead experience with strong communication and team management skills
- • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, details and specifications
- • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with project management, scheduling and job-cost software
- • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform in hot/cold/outdoor jobsite conditions while wearing PPE
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA 10-hour card required; OSHA 30 preferred
- • CPR/First Aid preferred
- • Prior foreman or supervisory experience on commercial projects
- • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
