TIG Welder — Per Diem, Hallsville TX

About This Role

TIG welder (GTAW) position in Hallsville, TX for a skilled, hands-on welder who produces high-quality, precise welds on steel, stainless and aluminum. This per diem role focuses on clean, inspected welds using GTAW/TIG processes and requires someone comfortable working to weld procedures and blueprints. You’ll work on site performing TIG welds, prepping and inspecting joints, and keeping equipment in top condition. Per diem pay and travel reimbursement are provided; this is a site-based role with immediate start for qualified candidates who can pass a weld test and drug screen.

What You'll Do

• • Perform GTAW/TIG welds on steel, stainless steel and aluminum following WPS and blueprints
• • Set up and maintain TIG equipment, select filler metal, and control heat input for quality welds
• • Fit, tack and prep joints; perform final weld cleanup and grinding as required
• • Inspect and verify welds visually and with basic NDT prep; document weld data and production records
• • Follow site safety rules, maintain PPE, and keep work area organized
• • Communicate with supervisors about weld issues, material needs, and job progress

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 3 years hands-on GTAW/TIG welding experience
• • Proven ability to weld steel, stainless and aluminum to procedure
• • Comfortable reading blueprints, dimensional drawings and welding symbols
• • Able to perform tacking, fit-up and final weld finishing; strong attention to weld quality
• • Reliable transportation to Hallsville, TX and availability for per diem assignments
• • Willingness to take a weld test and comply with site drug screening

Qualifications

• • GTAW/TIG certification or documented welding test (AWS, ASME or equivalent preferred)
• • Experienced passing employer weld tests to code or WPS standards
• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
