Carpenter — Building Services Technician

About This Role

Join our Fort Worth team as a Building Services Technician performing facility maintenance, repairs, and minor construction on commercial projects. This hands-on role suits experienced carpenters who work safely, manage their own tasks, and communicate directly with clients and supervisors. You’ll do rough and finish carpentry, painting, and basic concrete work, diagnose and repair building issues, source materials, and keep job sites clean and OSHA-compliant. Expect to work independently on varied sites, lift and climb regularly, and handle client-facing responsibilities with a professional attitude.

What You'll Do

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry: framing, trim, doors, cabinetry, and installation work on commercial projects
  • Complete painting, basic concrete repair and formwork, and surface prep as required
  • Diagnose facility issues, recommend cost-effective repairs, estimate materials and coordinate vendor purchases
  • Follow OSHA and site safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain clean, hazard-free work areas
  • Communicate with clients, supervisors and team members; document work and update schedules
  • Organize daily tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years commercial carpentry or facilities maintenance experience
  • Skilled in rough & finish carpentry, painting, and basic concrete work
  • Knowledge of building codes, ADA standards, and commercial-grade materials
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, climb ladders/scaffolds, and work in varied environments
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to work flexible hours
  • Comfortable using tablets/phones for scheduling, email and basic job documentation

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license (required)
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • OSHA 10-hour (preferred) or ability to obtain on hire
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
