About this role

Join a small, hands-on team in Fort Worth as a Building Services Technician. This role fits experienced carpenters who like varied work, steady field time, and direct contact with clients and site teams. You’ll be expected to work independently on tickets and small projects, diagnose and repair facility issues, source materials, and keep work areas safe and clean. Reliable, safety-first candidates with strong communication skills and the ability to manage their own schedule will do well here.

What you'll do

  • Perform rough framing, finish carpentry, trim work, door and hardware installation, and basic concrete tasks on commercial sites
  • Paint, prep surfaces, and complete minor finish work to meet project standards
  • Diagnose facility issues, provide repair scopes, source materials, and manage small project budgets
  • Follow OSHA and site safety protocols, use PPE, keep work areas clean, and perform regular jobsite safety checks
  • Communicate directly with clients, supervisors, and team members; document work and update schedules using tablets or mobile apps
  • Organize tasks, meet deadlines, and complete work with minimal supervision while coordinating vendors as needed

What we're looking for

  • 3–5+ years commercial carpentry and/or facilities maintenance experience
  • Skilled in both rough and finish carpentry, painting, and basic concrete work
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for jobsite travel
  • Able to work flexible hours and respond to site needs; comfortable working alone on assigned jobs
  • Comfortable using tablets, email, scheduling apps, and basic mobile reporting tools
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform extended periods standing

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10-hour construction card (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Proven commercial carpentry track record (references or work history)
  • Comfortable reading plans, measuring, and using basic digital reporting tools

What we offer

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Paid time off and holiday pay
  • Overtime opportunities based on project needs
  • Company-paid site-specific safety training (OSHA/site orientation)
  • Tool allowance or reimbursement for job-required hand tools
  • Mileage or travel reimbursement for jobsite travel
