You’ll set vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, scaffolds, and temporary supports using sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions. This is hands-on work on job sites — expect lifting, working at heights, and all-weather conditions. We need reliable carpenters with solid formwork experience who follow safety protocols and work drug-free. Candidates must supply their own basic carpentry tools (hammer, speed square, tape measure, etc.). Steady commercial work with opportunities for overtime for those who show skill and dependability.

What You'll Do

  • Build, set and strip vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, and blocking per drawings or instructions
  • Measure, cut and fit lumber and plywood; lay out formwork and install bracing and ties
  • Assemble and maintain scaffolding, temporary shelters, and shoring for bridges, tunnels, sewer supports and similar structures
  • Read and follow sketches, blueprints and technical drawings; perform site layout and material staging
  • Follow site safety protocols, maintain a clean work area, secure materials and inspect work for quality and code compliance

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years commercial construction carpentry experience preferred, with concrete formwork and gang form experience
  • Able to work at elevated heights and in all weather conditions; frequently lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must provide own basic carpentry tools (hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, tool pouch)
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a drug-free work environment; able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to read drawings/blueprints, perform accurate measuring and cutting, and use common carpentry and scaffolding tools

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10-hour or equivalent safety training preferred
  • Scaffold safety or competent person training preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • English proficiency required; Spanish or other language skills a plus

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay (DOE) with overtime available
  • Weekly pay and steady commercial project work
  • Workers' compensation and state-required benefits
  • Site-provided basic PPE and paid safety orientation/training
  • Opportunities for skill development and advancement based on performance
