Form Carpenter / Concrete Finisher — Savannah, GA

About This Role

We’re hiring a hands-on Form Carpenter / Concrete Finisher in Savannah, GA. You’ll build and strip wood and metal forms, set rebar and anchors, place and finish concrete on commercial and heavy-civil jobs. This is physical work outside — be ready for lifting, standing, and working in all weather. You’ll work with a small crew under a lead foreman. Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and solid concrete/form carpentry skills get you steady assignments and overtime when available. Pay is competitive based on experience; travel within the Savannah area required.

What You'll Do

• • Measure, build, install and strip wood and metal formwork for slabs, walls, footings and footers
• • Set and tie rebar, install anchors, embeds and form hardware to layout and spec
• • Place, consolidate and finish concrete — screed, bullfloat, trowel, broom finish and cure
• • Read basic plans and layout lines/levels; check elevations and alignments
• • Maintain tools and equipment, keep clean and safe jobsite, follow layout and foreman instructions

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years experience in formwork carpentry and concrete finishing on commercial or civil projects
• • Proven skills in concrete placement, finishing techniques and form construction
• • Ability to read basic blueprints, layout lines and use leveling tools
• • Capable of heavy lifting (50+ lbs), working on ladders/scaffolds, and standing for long periods
• • Reliable transportation to Savannah job sites and good attendance record

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or willingness to obtain on hire
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
• • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• • Spanish-speaking helpers encouraged — bilingual a plus
