Carpenter - Building Services Technician

Corpus Christi, TX $22-$28/hr

About this role

Work on specialized commercial sites in Corpus Christi, TX as a Building Services Technician performing hands-on facility maintenance, repairs, and minor construction. You’ll handle rough and finish carpentry, painting, basic concrete work and quick turnaround repair tasks that keep facilities operating. This role fits experienced carpenters who are self-motivated, safety focused, and comfortable working independently on client-facing jobs. You’ll diagnose issues, source materials, manage small budgets, and keep work areas clean and hazard-free while communicating directly with supervisors and clients.

What you'll do

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, trim, door/hardware installation, and cabinet work on commercial sites
  • Paint, perform basic concrete tasks (patching, small pours), and prepare surfaces for specialty finishes
  • Diagnose facility issues, estimate materials, coordinate vendors, and manage budget-conscious repairs
  • Follow OSHA and site safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain clean, hazard-free work areas
  • Communicate with clients, supervisors, and team members to schedule work and ensure quality
  • Organize daily tasks, meet deadlines, and complete work with minimal supervision

What we're looking for

  • 3–5+ years commercial carpentry or facilities maintenance experience
  • Skilled in rough & finish carpentry, painting, and basic concrete work; familiar with building codes and ADA standards
  • Able to read technical drawings and measure/cut accurately; strong attention to detail
  • Capable of physical work: lifting, climbing, standing long periods, working on scaffolds and in confined spaces
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; comfortable using tablets/computers for schedules and reports

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications (required or company-supported)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Comfortable using mobile devices, scheduling software, email, and basic digital reporting
