Formwork Carpenter

About this role

Join a local construction crew in Fayetteville, GA as a Formwork Carpenter. You will build, assemble and strip formwork for foundations, walls, columns and slabs, set anchor bolts and embed plates, and ensure forms are plumb, level and aligned before concrete placement. This is a hands-on, full-time day-shift role for someone who reads drawings, measures and cuts accurately, and uses hand and power tools safely. You’ll work on-site across the Fayetteville area, follow site safety rules, and coordinate with concrete crews to meet schedules.

What you'll do

• • Construct, install and dismantle concrete formwork for foundations, walls, columns and slabs
• • Measure, mark, cut and fit lumber, plywood and form components to plan dimensions
• • Install anchor bolts, steel embed plates and fixtures into formwork per drawings
• • Set forms to required level and alignment; verify layout and dimensions before pour
• • Remove and wreck formwork after concrete has cured, protect finished surfaces as required

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience with concrete formwork carpentry and rough carpentry
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical sketches and blueprints
• • Skilled with hand tools, circular saws, nailers, levels, and formwork hardware
• • Accurate measuring, cutting and layout skills; strong attention to alignment and tolerances
• • Capable of safe heavy lifting, working at heights and following site safety procedures

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour construction card or willingness to obtain
• • NCCER certification or equivalent carpentry/formwork credential is a plus
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Fayetteville-area sites
• • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • Proficient English for reading plans and safety communication
