Formwork Carpenter

About This Role

Join our crew as a Formwork Carpenter in Atlanta, GA. You’ll construct, install and remove formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns and slabs. This is hands-on work: measure, cut, set, brace and fit lumber, plywood and steel embeds to exact line and level. Work is outdoors on active construction sites. You’ll read and follow construction drawings, set anchor bolts and embed plates, use hand and power tools, and follow safety procedures. Competitive pay based on experience, overtime available, steady projects in the Atlanta area.

What You'll Do

• • Build, assemble, brace and secure formwork for foundations, walls, columns and slabs
• • Measure, cut, fit and fasten lumber, plywood and steel components to layout and grade
• • Install anchor bolts, steel embed plates, sleeves and other fixtures into formwork
• • Strip/dismantle formwork after concrete has cured and repair or sort reusable materials
• • Read and follow construction drawings, set levels, lines, and check alignment
• • Operate hand tools, saws, nail guns and specialized carpentry equipment safely

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years of formwork or rough carpentry experience on commercial or heavy civil projects
• • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts and blueprints
• • Proven skills measuring, cutting, leveling and aligning formwork components
• • Experience installing anchor bolts, embed plates and coordinating with concrete crews
• • Comfortable using hand and power tools and following site safety rules
• • Physical stamina for lifting, climbing, bending and working outdoors in all weather

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
• • OSHA 10-hour Construction card preferred
• • Able to pass drug screen and background check
• • Proficient in reading English-language plans; Spanish helpful
• • Able to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights or on scaffolding
