Concrete Carpenter

About this role

We’re looking for experienced concrete carpenters based in or near Fort Pierce, FL to work on formwork and concrete structure projects within a 50-mile radius. You’ll be on-site building, bracing and stripping forms for slabs, footings and columns across commercial and heavy civil jobs. This is hands-on field work: read plans, lay out formwork, measure and cut materials, set and brace forms, assist with concrete placement and clean up at the end of the day. Typical schedule is day shifts with possible early starts and occasional overtime depending on project needs.

What you'll do

• • Read and follow construction drawings and layout instructions on-site
• • Measure, cut and install lumber, plywood and metal form components for slabs, footings and columns
• • Assemble, brace and align formwork; set edge forms, screed rails and bulkheads
• • Assist with concrete placement and finishing operations; ensure forms hold line and grade during pours
• • Strip forms, clean and repair form materials for reuse; maintain tools and jobsite housekeeping
• • Communicate with foremen and crew about sequence, hazards and material needs on daily basis

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and general concrete work
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and perform site layout
• • Skilled at measuring, cutting and fastening wood and metal form components
• • Experience building and handling concrete column forms and bracing systems
• • Physically fit for lifting, climbing, bending and working outdoors in all weather
• • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius of Fort Pierce, FL

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour (or 30-hour) construction safety card preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• • High school diploma or GED or equivalent field experience
• • Spanish-speaking crew members are a plus
