About This Role

Residential and commercial carpenters wanted for a project in Brevard, NC. This role focuses on structural wood framing (walls, floors, roofs) and installing building components like doors, windows, trim, and paneling. You’ll work on-site with a crew, following layouts and blueprints to deliver solid, code-compliant work. Ideal candidates have strong rough-framing experience, can read basic construction drawings, and move efficiently on the jobsite. Local project with steady hours — immediate start for the right carpenters. Competitive pay based on experience and skills.

What You'll Do

  • Perform wood framing for walls, floors and roof systems to plan and code
  • Install doors, windows, trim, paneling and other finish components
  • Read and follow construction drawings, site layouts and framing plans
  • Measure, mark and cut lumber and building materials accurately
  • Work safely and efficiently as part of a site crew; maintain clean work areas
  • Coordinate with crew members and lead carpenters to meet daily production targets

What We're Looking For

  • Proven framing experience (walls, floor and roof framing) on residential or commercial jobs
  • Skilled in door, window and trim installation, plus hardware fitting
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and basic blueprints
  • Strong measuring, cutting and layout skills with hand and power tools
  • Comfortable working at heights and lifting heavy materials (50+ lbs)
  • Reliable, punctual, able to work full shifts and overtime as needed

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Brevard, NC jobsites
  • OSHA 10 (preferred) or willing to obtain on request
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Able to pass a basic drug screen and background check if required
  • Basic English for reading plans and communicating on-site
