Carpenter — Millwork Installer
About This Role
Join a crew installing high-level millwork across commercial projects in Atlanta. You’ll install AWW, PL and metal casework, fume hoods, DFH, and other specialty items—working from blueprints and drawings to produce precise, finished results. You’ll preplan tools and materials for efficient installs, follow the ISEC Safety Program, report hazards, and use Stop Work Authority when needed. This role pays $29–$36/hr and is for an experienced finished carpenter who works well with minimal supervision.
What You'll Do
- • Install AWW, plastic laminate (PL) and metal casework, fume hoods, DFH, and miscellaneous specialties to project specs.
- • Preplan tools, materials, and installation sequence for safe, efficient work and minimal rework.
- • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists; verify dimensions and alignments on site.
- • Perform finish carpentry tasks: bench work, trim, cabinetry, stair and panel installation, leveling and alignment.
- • Follow and participate in the ISEC Safety Program; report hazards, use and respect Stop Work Authority, and report injuries/incidents promptly.
- • Coordinate with foreman and trades, keep work area clean, protect finished surfaces, and maintain personal tools and equipment.
What We're Looking For
- • 3–5 years’ experience as a finished carpenter with proven millwork/casework background.
- • Hands-on experience with casework, plastic laminate, architectural millwork and cabinetmaking.
- • Ability to read and apply blueprints, shop drawings, and layout instructions.
- • Supply and maintain personal hand and power tools; work with minimal supervision.
- • Physically able to climb ladders/scaffolds, stoop, kneel, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and work at heights.
- • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to follow site safety protocols and directions from foreman.
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or equivalent.
- • 3–5 years’ finished carpentry experience with millwork/casework focus.
- • Union membership where applicable.
- • OSHA 10 (preferred) or willingness to obtain safety certifications.
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- • Able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders/scaffold, and supply personal tools.
