About this role

Seeking a Carpenter Craftsman 1 for a 12-month industrial/commercial project in Harrah, OK. You will build and repair structural woodwork and related components across yard, industrial, and commercial sites, working from plans and technical drawings to meet project specs. This is a hands-on role that requires solid measuring and layout skills, the ability to use common hand and power tools, and experience inspecting and directing the work of others to ensure quality and compliance with plans and site safety rules.

What you'll do

  • Construct and repair structural woodwork and equipment on yard, industrial, and commercial properties.
  • Cut, shape and install materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass and drywall using chisels, planes, saws, drills and sanders.
  • Measure and lay out work; estimate sizes, distances, quantities and materials required for tasks.
  • Determine time, costs and resources needed to complete assigned activities and report needs to supervision.
  • Inspect subordinate work for compliance with contract plans and specifications; point out deficiencies and direct corrective actions.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and jobsite housekeeping; follow site safety procedures and report hazards.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years carpentry experience on commercial or industrial projects.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong site layout, measuring and cutting skills; basic concrete work experience a plus.
  • Experience supervising or inspecting crew work and enforcing quality and safety standards.
  • Skilled with hand and power tools used in carpentry and finish work.
  • Able to follow project plans, communicate on-site issues, and work a consistent schedule for the project duration.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years proven carpentry experience.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • OSHA 10 or site safety card preferred; must complete site safety orientation.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for reporting to site.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening as required by site rules.
