About this role

We’re hiring a Carpenter Craftsman 1 for a 12-month industrial/commercial project in Harrah, OK. Pay is $25/hour plus a $100 per diem. This role focuses on constructing and repairing structural wood work and related components on yards and commercial/industrial sites. You’ll use hand and power tools to build and repair structures, estimate materials and time, and inspect subordinate work for compliance with plans and specs. This is hands-on work; we need someone with at least 3 years of carpentry experience who can maintain quality, safety, and schedule on site.

What you'll do

• • Construct and repair structural wood work and equipment on yard, industrial, and commercial properties.
• • Use chisels, planes, saws, drills, sanders and other hand and power tools to cut, fit and finish wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall.
• • Estimate sizes, distances, quantities and materials; determine time and resource needs for assigned tasks.
• • Inspect subordinates’ work against contract plans and specifications; point out deficiencies and direct corrective actions.
• • Ensure work is performed to safety standards and jobsite procedures; communicate issues to supervisors and coordinate fixes.

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on carpentry experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• • Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical plans.
• • Skilled with measuring, cutting, fitting and finishing materials (wood, drywall, fiberglass, plastics).
• • Experienced using hand and power tools safely and effectively (saws, drills, planes, sanders, chisels).
• • Ability to inspect and correct others’ work for compliance with plans/specs and enforce quality control.

Qualifications

• • At least 3 years of carpentry experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• • Comfortable reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• • Proven proficiency with standard carpentry tools and measuring/layout techniques.
• • Able to inspect, coach and correct crew members’ work for compliance.
• • Physically able to lift, carry and perform manual labor for full shifts; reliable transportation to site.
