Finish Carpenter — Millwork & Casework Installer

About this role

Join a busy commercial team in Dallas, TX as a finish carpenter focused on high-level millwork and specialty casework. You will install wood, plastic laminate (PL) and metal casework, fume hoods, DFH assemblies and other specialty items on commercial and institutional projects. This is a hands-on role for a dependable tradesperson with 3–5 years of finish carpentry/millwork experience. Work is primarily day shifts (Monday–Friday) with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed. Strong blueprint-reading, pre-planning, and strict adherence to site safety are required.

What you'll do

• • Install AWW, PL and metal casework, fume hoods, DFH, and miscellaneous specialty millwork per drawings
• • Read and verify drawings on-site; measure, layout, level and align casework before fastening and anchoring
• • Preplan tools, materials and installation sequence for safe, efficient work and timely handoffs
• • Make field adjustments, trim openings, set anchors, install hardware, and align doors/drawers to spec
• • Keep work area clean and organized; protect finished surfaces and adjacent trades during installation
• • Follow the site safety program, report hazards/incidents promptly, and use Stop Work Authority for unsafe conditions

What we're looking for

• • 3–5 years finish carpentry or high-level millwork experience on commercial projects
• • Hands-on experience installing wood, plastic laminate and metal casework and related specialties
• • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings and blueprints
• • Proficient with hand and power tools used in finish carpentry (levels, routers, drills, saws, etc.)
• • Strong measuring, layout and fit-up skills; able to work from templates and field dimensions
• • Able to lift, carry and position heavy assemblies and work safely on ladders and scaffolds

Qualifications

• • 3–5 years finish carpentry or millwork experience
• • Proficient blueprint/drawing reading and field layout skills
• • OSHA 10-hour (preferred) or equivalent site safety training
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Dallas-area job sites
• • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• • English required; Spanish or other language skills are a plus
