Carpenter
About This Role
Local Carpenter needed in West Palm Beach, FL to install and maintain jobsite safety features and trailer fixtures. You’ll be building and installing safety rails, toe boards, temporary walls/enclosures, decking for trailers, and hanging shelving and signs. Work is hands-on and focused on keeping sites safe and functional. Pay is $20–$35/hr depending on experience. This role requires reliable attendance, basic blueprint reading, safe tool use, and at least 2 years of carpentry experience in commercial, industrial, or civil construction settings.
What You'll Do
- • Install safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls and enclosures, and elevator protection on jobsites
- • Build and set up planning tables, decks for construction trailers, and temporary decking
- • Mount Smartboards, TVs, shelving and hang safety signs inside jobsite trailers
- • Cover holes and other open areas that present safety hazards
- • Perform basic finish and rough carpentry tasks to maintain jobsite functionality
What We're Looking For
- • 2+ years hands-on carpentry experience (rough, formwork, or commercial/industrial preferred)
- • Experience with concrete formwork carpentry and civil/construction site conditions
- • Comfortable using hand and power tools, measuring, and basic layout
- • Able to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and follow safety procedures on active sites
- • Reliable transportation to West Palm Beach-area job sites and punctual attendance
Qualifications
- • OSHA-10 (preferred)
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- • Basic blueprint reading and measurements
- • English required; Spanish a plus
