Commercial Concrete Finisher

About this role

We are hiring an experienced commercial concrete finisher in San Antonio, TX to work on commercial flatwork and form-related tasks. The role focuses on finishing sidewalks, walls and flat surfaces, tying rebar, and building/working with structural forms on active job sites. Ideal candidates know bull float, broom finish, steel trowel and edger work, and have hands-on carpentry experience for formwork. You'll work on San Antonio-area commercial projects alongside a crew following drawings and site instructions — reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are a must.

What you'll do

• • Perform flatwork finishing using bull float, steel trowel, edger and broom finish techniques
• • Tie rebar and install concrete reinforcing per layout and drawings
• • Set, build and strip formwork for sidewalks, walls and structural components
• • Finish concrete walls and vertical surfaces to specified tolerance and appearance
• • Read and follow site drawings and layout instructions; coordinate with crew and leads
• • Keep tools and work areas maintained, assist with cleanup and basic site housekeeping

What we're looking for

• • Commercial concrete finishing experience on flatwork, sidewalks and walls
• • Proficient with bull float, steel trowel, edger and broom finish techniques
• • Experience cutting, bending and tying rebar and installing concrete reinforcing
• • Hands-on formwork carpentry experience for structural forms (preferred strong skill)
• • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and layout marks

Qualifications

• • Proven concrete finishing and general concrete work experience
• • Concrete formwork carpentry and concrete column forms experience
• • Competent in cutting, bending and tying rebar (concrete reinforcing)
• • Able to read and interpret drawings/layouts
• • Comfortable working on sidewalks, walls, flatwork and structural forms
