Concrete Worker

About this role

Join a busy concrete crew in Fletcher, NC working on commercial and site concrete tasks. This is a hands-on role: you’ll build forms, place and finish concrete, tie rebar, and run common concrete tools and equipment. Expect steady on-site work, day shifts with occasional overtime, and clear direction from crew leads. We’re looking for reliable people who show up ready to work, follow safety rules, and can lift and move materials. Local candidates preferred; some travel to nearby sites may be required. Site-specific safety training and direction will be provided on day one.

What you'll do

• • Build, set and strip formwork for slabs, sidewalks and curbs
• • Place, consolidate and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools
• • Tie and install rebar, dowels, and embeds per layout and drawings
• • Operate vibrating equipment, bull floats, trowels and screeds
• • Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow site safety procedures

What we're looking for

• • 1–3+ years of concrete or general labor experience on construction sites
• • Able to read basic plans, levels and layout marks
• • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
• • Familiarity with formwork, finishing techniques and rebar placement
• • Reliable transportation to the Fletcher site and punctual attendance

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
• • OSHA 10-hour construction safety card (or willing to obtain)
• • Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to certify
• • Basic English or Spanish for crew communication
• • Fit for physical work and able to pass site drug screening
