Concrete Finisher

About This Role

Join a hands-on field crew in Lakeland, FL as a Concrete Finisher. You’ll be pouring, placing, and finishing concrete on outdoor commercial and site projects, working with forms, rebar, power tools, and finishing equipment. This role is physical and detail-oriented—ideal for reliable crew members who take pride in clean, durable concrete work. Pay is $18–$32/hr depending on experience. Work is outdoors and may include variable weather and some overtime. You’ll follow established safety practices and work with a small skilled crew to meet project schedules and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• • Set and build concrete forms to hold pours in place
• • Clean, inspect, and prep surfaces for pouring; check grade and form alignment
• • Manage and direct casting operations to ensure proper placement and compaction
• • Pour, spread, screed, float, and trowel concrete using hand and power tools
• • Operate power vibrators and other equipment to compact concrete and remove air pockets
• • Monitor curing and weather conditions; apply sealers and hardening compounds as required

What We're Looking For

• • Hands-on experience with concrete finishing, formwork, and placement
• • Ability to use hand tools and powered finishing equipment safely and effectively
• • Read basic grade stakes, follow layout instructions, and work from plans or supervisor directions
• • Physically fit for lifting, kneeling, and standing outdoors for long shifts
• • Reliable, punctual, able to work overtime and follow written and verbal safety instructions
• • Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and maintain a drug-free workplace

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 certification required
• • Authorized to work in the United States
• • Valid driver’s license preferred
• • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
• • 2+ years concrete finishing or related construction experience preferred
