Concrete Foreman — Lakeland, FL

About this role

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead daily slab placement and finishing on commercial and industrial jobs in the Lakeland area. You’ll run pours, solve on-site issues, coordinate crews and equipment, and make sure slabs are placed and finished efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll read drawings, build pour plans with management, complete daily reports and safety forms, and mentor field crews. Reliable communication with project teams and a strong focus on safety are required every day.

What you'll do

• • Supervise daily pour activities, assign crew tasks, and ensure work follows the pour plan
• • Read and interpret blueprints and site drawings to set up formwork, rebar, and pour sequences
• • Overcome on-site obstacles to maintain efficient slab placement and quality finishes
• • Complete daily reports, extra work tickets, safety forms, and job documentation
• • Coordinate manpower and equipment between projects with other foremen
• • Train and coach field employees on finishing techniques, site procedures, and safety policies

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience leading concrete crews on commercial or industrial projects
• • Strong concrete finishing and slab placement skills, including formwork and rebar layout
• • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, slab details, and pour sequences
• • Hands-on experience with equipment (forklift/loader) and coordinating subcontractors
• • Consistent focus on enforcing safety procedures and site policies

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
• • Forklift and/or loader certification preferred
• • Proven foreman or lead role experience in concrete placement and finishing
• • Able to pass drug screen and background check
• • Good communication skills and ability to mentor field crews
