Lattice Boom Crane Operator — Cartersville, GA

About this role

We’re hiring a experienced lattice boom crane operator based in Cartersville, GA to run lifting operations on construction and industrial projects across the state. This is a hands-on role: set up, rig, lift and place heavy material safely using lattice boom cranes. You’ll work with site supervisors, riggers and signalpersons on day-to-day lifts and critical operations. The right candidate knows load charts, follows lift plans, enforces safety procedures, and can handle multi-crane and blind lifts. Expect travel between job sites in Georgia, clear communication with crews, and consistent, project-based work on concrete, precast, and civil construction jobs.

What you'll do

• • Operate lattice boom cranes to lift, move and set material, rebar cages and precast components according to lift plans and load charts
• • Perform pre-shift inspections, daily maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting of crane equipment
• • Set up rigging, position crane mats and establish safe lift zones with riggers and signalpersons
• • Follow and enforce site safety procedures, taglines, and critical-lift protocols; stop work if unsafe conditions arise
• • Coordinate with site supervisors, riggers and other trades for multi-crane and blind lifts; read and execute lift plans and signals

What we're looking for

• • Minimum experience operating lattice boom cranes on construction or industrial sites
• • Strong rigging skills: hoisting, setting rebar cages, precast erection and multi-crane lifts
• • Ability to read/load charts, follow written lift plans and perform critical lifting operations
• • Proven track record of enforcing safety procedures and working with riggers and signalpersons
• • Willingness to travel to project sites across Georgia and work flexible schedules as required by project timelines

Qualifications

• • Valid crane operator certification or equivalent documented experience
• • Rigger/signalperson certification or documented rigging and signaling experience
• • Ability to read lift plans, load charts and follow written procedures
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between sites
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check and meet project fit-for-duty requirements
