Lattice Boom Crane Operator — Atlanta, GA
About this role
We are hiring an experienced lattice boom crane operator based in Georgia to run lifts on commercial and civil construction sites across the state. You’ll operate lattice boom cranes to lift and set materials, precast panels, and rebar cages while following lift plans and load charts. This role requires a hands-on operator who enforces safety on site, coordinates with riggers and supervisors, and can execute critical, multi-crane, and blind lifts. Travel between Georgia job sites is expected; reliable attendance and a safety-first mindset are required.
What you'll do
- • Operate lattice boom cranes to lift, place, and set materials, precast panels, and rebar cages per lift plans
- • Perform pre-start and daily equipment inspections, document findings, and report defects
- • Read and apply load charts and lift plans; follow signalperson directions and radio/hand signals
- • Rig and communicate with riggers and ground crew; assist with rigging as needed
- • Execute critical, multi-crane, and blind lifts safely and coordinate sequencing with site supervisors
- • Enforce site safety procedures, maintain housekeeping around crane set area, and secure loads
What we're looking for
- • Proven experience operating lattice boom cranes on construction or civil projects
- • Strong knowledge of load charts, lift planning, crane signaling, and rigging best practices
- • Experience with setting rebar cages, precast erection, and civil construction lifts
- • Able to travel to jobs across Georgia and work full-time hours, including overtime when needed
- • Physically fit for climbing, working at heights, and performing hands-on rigging tasks
- • Willingness to follow site rules, pass drug/alcohol screening, and complete site-specific training
Qualifications
- • NCCCO lattice boom crane certification or equivalent recognized credential
- • Signalperson and rigging certification or verifiable rigging experience
- • OSHA 10 (preferred) or OSHA 30
- • Valid driver's license with a reliable driving record
- • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
- • Comfortable communicating on jobsite radios and following hand signals
