Crane Operator

About this role

Experienced crane operators needed for construction lifting and material handling across Florida. You’ll operate mobile and tower cranes on job sites, support lift planning, and execute critical and multi-crane lifts safely and efficiently. This role is hands-on: rigging, signal work, pre- and post-shift inspections, and clear communication with riggers and site supervisors. Ideal candidates hold NCCCO certifications and a CDL-A and are comfortable with blind lifts and complex lifting plans.

What you'll do

• • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, and place materials per lift plans and site direction
• • Set up and inspect crane and rigging gear; perform pre-shift and post-shift checks and document findings
• • Execute critical, blind, and multi-crane lifts following approved lift plans and signals
• • Work with riggers and rigging crews to select slings, rigging hardware, and establish pick points
• • Communicate with supervisors, signal persons, and other trades to maintain site safety and production
• • Maintain accurate logs, complete required reports, and follow site safety procedures and permits

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience operating cranes on construction sites with critical and multi-crane lifts
• • Strong knowledge of lift planning, load charts, rigging practices, and hand/radio signals
• • Ability to perform blind lifts and follow detailed lift procedures and spotter instructions
• • Physically able to climb, inspect equipment, and work outdoors in varying weather
• • Reliable transportation to sites across Florida and ability to work varied schedules

Qualifications

• • NCCCO Crane Operator certification
• • NCCCO Rigger certification
• • Valid CDL-A
• • English — able to read lift plans and follow verbal/written instructions
• • Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
