Datacom Structured Cabling & Electrical (Lebanon, IN)

Lebanon, IN $25-$35/hr

About this role

Multiple structured cabling and electrical roles are open for a Lebanon, Indiana site with set start dates of August 24 and August 31, 2026. Openings include entry-level structured cabling installers, journeyman electricians, and experienced electrical technicians — all focused on hands-on installation, termination, and troubleshooting of low- and trade-level electrical systems. You’ll work on-site in Lebanon performing installations to project specifications and safety standards. Entry-level hires will work closely with crews and learn on the job; journeyman and technician roles require independent work, advanced troubleshooting, and higher levels of trade skill and accuracy. These are location-specific opportunities with clear start dates in August 2026.

What you'll do

  • Install, pull, route, organize, label and secure structured cabling and related low-voltage wiring on commercial projects
  • Terminate copper and fiber, perform splices, and test/verify cabling runs using hand tools and test equipment
  • Read and interpret plans, wiring diagrams and project specifications; document work and follow punch-list items
  • Perform electrical installations, conduit bending, grounding, and basic distribution tasks per drawings and code
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and electrical issues on-site; maintain safety, quality, and clean work areas

What we're looking for

  • Prior experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, commercial electrical, or related construction work (level depends on role)
  • Ability to read plans and wiring diagrams and follow project specifications and field change instructions
  • Hands-on skills with terminations (RJ45, fiber splicing/termination), low-voltage systems, conduit bending and basic electrical tools
  • Comfort working at heights, in tight spaces, outdoors and in construction site conditions; follow site safety rules and PPE requirements
  • Must be available to begin on one of the posted start dates (August 24 or August 31, 2026) and be location-specific to Lebanon, IN; reliable transportation and punctual attendance required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Relevant trade credentials for the role: journeyman electrician license or equivalent for electrician role; fiber or low-voltage certifications are a plus
  • OSHA 10 (or equivalent) and site safety training preferred or required where applicable
  • Proven ability to perform low-voltage terminations and fiber work; experience with conduit bending and basic distribution installations
  • Fluent English for reading plans, verbal communication, and safety compliance; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

What we offer

  • Paid site-specific safety and skills training (OSHA/site orientation)
  • On-the-job training and clear advancement paths to higher-level technician or journeyman roles
  • Stable, location-specific assignment with set start dates and predictable schedules
  • Tool and boot allowance or support for job-required equipment where applicable
  • Overtime opportunities when project needs require increased hours
