Drywall Supervisor
About This Role
Join our Rapid City, SD crew as a hands-on Drywall Supervisor. You’ll lead and work alongside a small team to deliver high-quality drywall finishing — taping, mudding, sanding, level 5 finishes, and a variety of textures. This role is field-focused: you’ll set quality standards, train crew members, and jump in on the work every day. We’re open to candidates nationwide and will provide paid relocation assistance for qualified hires. If you’re a skilled finisher who can run a crew, inspect work, and get projects done on time, this is a straightforward opportunity to step into supervision with steady work and real hands-on responsibility.
What You'll Do
- • Supervise and perform drywall finishing tasks: taping, mudding, sanding, level 5 finishes, and texturing.
- • Train crew members on best practices, tool use, and finishing techniques; enforce jobsite safety.
- • Use automatic taping tools and hand-finishing techniques to meet project specs and quality standards.
- • Inspect work in progress and finished surfaces; correct defects and ensure consistent level and alignment.
- • Coordinate daily work assignments, manage materials and tools, and ensure projects finish on schedule.
What We're Looking For
- • Proven drywall finishing experience: taping, mudding, sanding, level 5 finishes, and texturing.
- • Prior supervisory or foreman experience leading and training a crew on job sites.
- • Proficient with automatic taping tools, joint compound application, patching, and repairs.
- • Comfortable working on stilts, scaffolds, and at heights; able to perform physically demanding tasks.
- • Experience with steel framing for interior and exterior nonbearing partitions and ability to read plans and layouts.
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred.
- • OSHA 10 (preferred) or equivalent jobsite safety training.
- • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- • Minimum 5 years drywall finishing experience and at least 2 years supervising crews.
- • English conversational; additional languages a plus.
What We Offer
- • Paid relocation assistance for qualified candidates (nationwide search).
- • Competitive pay with overtime opportunities.
- • Health insurance options available.
- • Tool/boot/equipment allowance or stipend.
- • Paid time off and paid holidays; steady project pipeline and advancement potential.
