Journeyman Electrician

About this role

Experienced journeyman electricians needed in Fort Worth for commercial construction projects. You’ll install and maintain electrical systems, read plans and layouts, troubleshoot issues, and work safely to meet code on active job sites. Pay range $30–45/hr DOE, with regular overtime opportunities. This role is hands-on and independent — ideal for licensed tradespeople who can interpret blueprints, coordinate with other trades, and keep work moving on schedule. Must be comfortable on commercial sites, performing medium-voltage work, lighting, low-voltage/VDV, and emergency/standby system tasks.

What you'll do

• • Install, wire, and maintain commercial electrical systems per NEC and local code (raceways, wireways, conduit, feeders)
• • Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and layouts to install wiring and equipment accurately
• • Troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions safely and efficiently (amperage issues, wear/tear, protective devices)
• • Install and service lighting, low-voltage systems (VDV), standby/emergency systems, and overcurrent devices
• • Perform medium-voltage work and general PV (solar) tasks as required on project scope
• • Coordinate with other trades on-site, perform work inspections, and enforce safety procedures

What we're looking for

• • 3+ years commercial electrical experience on construction or service jobs
• • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• • Skilled at troubleshooting electrical systems, selecting and installing overcurrent devices
• • Experience with wireway/raceway installation, lighting, low-voltage/VDV, and standby/emergency systems
• • Familiarity with medium-voltage work and basic PV (solar) system tasks
• • Strong commitment to job-site safety and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications

• • Texas Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
• • OSHA 10 (minimum) — OSHA 30 preferred; NFPA 70E training a plus
• • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• • English proficiency for safe communication on job sites (bilingual Spanish/English a plus)
