Journeyman Electrician
About This Role
Journeyman Electricians needed for a data center construction project in Pampa, TX. You’ll install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial/industrial electrical systems on-site while following safety rules and local code. Pay is $30–$40/hr DOE; per diem available for qualified candidates. This is hands-on work: running conduit, installing distribution equipment and lighting, reading blueprints, performing system troubleshooting, and coordinating with other trades and inspectors. A valid state Journeyman Electrician license and commercial/industrial experience are required. Bilingual Spanish/English and prior data center experience are a plus.
What You'll Do
- • Install, terminate, and connect distribution equipment, feeders, branch circuits, and lighting per plans and specs
- • Run conduit, pull wire, set panels, breakers, and overcurrent devices; ensure proper labeling and routing
- • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to complete assigned work
- • Troubleshoot electrical systems (voltage, amps, wear and tear) and perform testing/commissioning tasks
- • Follow job-site safety procedures, enforce PPE use, and ensure all work meets local/state/federal codes
- • Coordinate with foremen, other trades, and inspectors to keep work on schedule and meet quality standards
What We're Looking For
- • Valid state Journeyman Electrician license (required)
- • Commercial/industrial electrical experience required; data center experience preferred
- • Proven ability to read drawings, perform branch circuit and feeder load calculations, and size overcurrent devices
- • Skilled in distribution equipment installation, lighting installation, and system troubleshooting
- • Strong verbal and written communication with crew members and supervisors
- • Knowledge of building codes, safety procedures, and compliance with local/state/federal regulations
Qualifications
- • State-licensed Journeyman Electrician (required)
- • Commercial/industrial experience; data center experience preferred
- • Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred)
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
