Electrical Foreman — North Dakota (Per Diem)

About This Role

We are hiring an experienced Electrical Foreman for projects across North Dakota. This per diem position is field-first: you’ll lead crews on commercial construction sites, run day-to-day electrical work, enforce safety, and make sure installs meet plans and code. Ideal candidates have strong hands-on electrical experience, proven leadership on commercial projects, and clear communication skills with crews, superintendents, and clients. Relocation assistance or travel assignments will be considered for the right person.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and supervise electrical crews daily—assign tasks, monitor productivity, and coach journeymen/apprentices
  • Coordinate daily work with project schedule, contractors, and subcontractors to meet milestones
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications; verify work against plans
  • Perform or oversee system troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of lighting, VDV, standby/emergency systems
  • Conduct site layout, inspections, and quality checks; document deficiencies and corrective actions
  • Enforce safety procedures, ensure compliance with codes and regulations, and participate in toolbox talks

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years commercial electrical field experience; prior foreman or supervisory role preferred
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with lighting installation, overcurrent device selection/installation, and standby/emergency systems
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and VDV (voice, data, video) installs
  • Working knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes and construction site safety practices
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel/relocate to North Dakota project sites; per diem position

Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred (state-specific credentials acceptable)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card required (or willingness to obtain)
  • NFPA 70E training and current CPR/First Aid recommended
  • Proven supervisory experience on commercial construction projects
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screening
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) for clear jobsite communication
