Medium Voltage (MV) Termination Electrician

About this role

Experienced electricians needed for medium-voltage (MV) termination work on substations, power stations, and major data center projects in Utah. These are 12–18 month field assignments; candidates from nationwide locations who can travel to Utah are encouraged to apply. This role is hands-on: you will prepare and terminate MV cable, install stress cones, follow termination details and drawings, and perform grounding/bonding tasks. Safety-focused electricians who can work independently on-site and follow established procedures will fit this role best.

What you'll do

• • Prepare and terminate medium-voltage cable systems, including stress cone installation and termination assemblies
• • Perform MV cable preparation, splicing (when required), and basic continuity/insulation testing
• • Read and follow electrical drawings, termination details, and site schematics to complete terminations per spec
• • Install and verify grounding and bonding connections for MV equipment and cable systems
• • Follow site safety procedures, use proper PPE, and comply with jobsite lockout/tagout and NFPA guidelines
• • Coordinate with crew leads and other trades to meet schedule and workmanship standards on substations and data center sites

What we're looking for

• • Hands-on experience performing medium-voltage cable terminations in the field
• • Proven ability with MV cable preparation and stress cone installations
• • Comfortable reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and termination details
• • Strong understanding of grounding and bonding practices for medium/high-voltage systems
• • Available for 12–18 month field assignments and able to travel to Utah for project work
• • Physically able to work outdoors, lift equipment, climb ladders, and use hand and power tools

Qualifications

• • Journeyman electrician or equivalent MV termination technician experience
• • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
• • NFPA 70E preferred
• • Experience with 7.2 kV, 15 kV, 25 kV, 34.5 kV (or similar) systems is a plus
• • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to Utah as required
