Journeyman Electrician — Medium Voltage Terminations

About this role

Hands-on journeyman electricians needed for medium-voltage terminations and stress-cone work on project sites across the U.S. You’ll be deployed to job sites nationwide on a project-by-project basis, performing terminations, pulling large cable, and commissioning systems. Travel is required and assignments may be multi-week. This role is for experienced electricians who take pride in clean, reliable terminations and safe jobsite work. Candidates must have a minimum of eight years in the trades and hold a factory/manufacturer termination certification for medium-voltage terminations.

What you'll do

• • Perform medium-voltage terminations including stress cones and factory-style terminations to manufacturer specs
• • Pull conduit and large power cable; set up cable spreads and lay-ins on overhead and underground systems
• • Select, install and test overcurrent protection devices and associated connections
• • Perform testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of medium-voltage terminations and switchgear interfaces
• • Read and follow schematics, single-line diagrams and installation procedures; document work and report progress to project leads
• • Maintain clean, safe work areas; follow site safety plans and use required PPE at all times

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 8 years of electrical trade experience with strong medium-voltage termination background
• • Journeyman electrician credential or equivalent trade certification
• • Proven experience with stress cones and medium-voltage cable terminations
• • Factory/manufacturer-certified medium-voltage termination credential (required)
• • Comfortable traveling to job sites nationwide and working multi-week assignments as needed
• • Experience pulling large cable and installing/selecting overcurrent devices (breakers, fuses)

Qualifications

• • Journeyman electrician license or equivalent trade certification
• • Factory/manufacturer termination certification for medium-voltage terminations (required)
• • 8+ years of relevant electrical/construction experience
• • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for extended assignments
• • Comfortable working at heights and lifting heavy cable; able to pass site physical requirements
