General Laborer

About this role

We’re hiring general laborers for commercial projects in Carrollton, GA. This is hands-on site work: handling materials, preparing and cleaning work areas, assisting trades, and keeping the jobsite running safely and on schedule. Day-shift schedules with multi-week assignments on local sites. You’ll work outdoors in all weather, use hand and power tools, and follow site safety plans. Bring a strong work ethic, dependable transportation, and basic tools. Site orientation and safety training are provided; there are clear paths to trade-specific roles for people who want to grow.

What you'll do

• • Load, unload, move, and stage materials and equipment on site
• • Prepare and keep work areas clean and free of debris; control waste and recycling
• • Assist carpenters, concrete crews, and other trades with basic tasks
• • Operate hand and common power tools safely (saws, drills, breakers, etc.)
• • Follow site traffic, access, and material handling procedures
• • Set up and take down temporary barriers, padding, and basic formwork

What we're looking for

• • 1+ year of construction or manual labor experience preferred
• • Reliable transportation to Carrollton job sites and consistent attendance
• • Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding work
• • Own basic hand tools and durable work boots (site may provide some PPE)
• • Comfort working outdoors in heat, cold, and wet conditions
• • Willingness to follow written and verbal instructions and work as part of a crew

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • OSHA 10-hour construction card preferred
• • Forklift or scissor lift certification a plus
• • High school diploma or GED preferred
• • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
