General Laborer — Traveling Fencing & Fueling
About This Role
Traveling general laborers needed to support fencing installation and equipment fueling on construction sites across the Southeast. Work is hands-on and outdoors — you’ll be moving materials, setting fence posts, and assisting with safe fueling and basic equipment checks. This role is travel-heavy with regular trips to project sites out of Indianapolis. Ideal candidates are reliable, comfortable working in all weather, and ready to handle physical, repetitive tasks. Competitive pay, travel per diem, and steady regional work are available for dependable crews and individuals.
What You'll Do
- • Install and assist with fencing: dig post holes, set posts, attach panels, tension wire, and finish fence lines
- • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and trailers at job sites
- • Assist with fueling and refueling equipment on site, following safe fueling procedures and spill prevention practices
- • Perform routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and keep work areas clean and organized
- • Travel between job sites across the Southeast; load out, set up, and break down daily work zones
- • Follow site safety plans, use PPE, and report hazards or equipment issues to foreman or supervisor
What We're Looking For
- • Hands-on experience with general construction labor or fencing work
- • Proven ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- • Experience assisting with fueling equipment and following fuel-handling safety
- • Willingness to travel regularly across the Southeast and stay overnight when required
- • Able to work outdoors in varying weather and perform sustained physical labor (lifting, bending, climbing)
- • Reliable attendance, ability to follow directions, and work well on a crew
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred
- • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- • OSHA 10 or similar construction safety card preferred
- • Forklift or equipment operation certification a plus
- • Basic English communication skills for following directions and safety briefings
What We Offer
- • Competitive hourly pay with weekly pay options
- • Travel per diem and lodging provided when working out of town
- • Overtime opportunities on many projects
- • Company-provided PPE and basic tools when required
- • Consistent regional work across the Southeast — steady dispatching for reliable crews
- • Mileage reimbursement or fuel stipend when using personal vehicle for job duties
