Excavator Operator

About this role

We need experienced excavator operators for upcoming heavy civil projects across Texas. Work will focus on deep excavation, pipe and structure installation, backfill, rigging and site grade work. Travel between sites will be required. Candidates must be hands-on crew members who can run 315–374 class excavators safely and efficiently, read basic site layouts and grades, and work on manhole/structure installs with HDPE, RCP and ductile iron pipe systems. Complete crews are encouraged to apply.

What you'll do

• • Operate 315–374 class excavators for digging, trenching, deep excavation and backfill
• • Lift, rig and set structures, manholes and concrete protection as directed
• • Install and handle HDPE, RCP and ductile iron pipe, and work with mechanical joint assemblies
• • Perform grade work using basic GPS tools, site levels and evaluate pipe percentage/grade
• • Support crew tasks: rebar cage handling, site cleanup, machine inspections and basic maintenance

What we're looking for

• • 6+ years operating 315–374 class excavators on heavy civil projects
• • Proven experience in deep excavation, trenching and manhole/structure installation
• • Skilled in rigging, lifting, backfilling and protection of structures
• • Experience with HDPE, RCP and ductile iron pipe and mechanical joint assemblies
• • Comfortable using basic GPS, site levels and reading grades; willing to travel between sites

Qualifications

• • Minimum 6 years operating 315–374 class excavators
• • Proficiency in excavation/trench work, backfill and structure support
• • Working knowledge of HDPE, RCP and ductile iron pipe systems
• • Ability to use basic GPS equipment and site grade/level tools
• • Willingness to travel and work at multiple project sites
