HVAC Technician — Dallas, TX

About this role

We're hiring a hands-on HVAC technician for service, installation, start-up and troubleshooting work across the Dallas area. This role focuses on commercial HVAC systems — rooftop units, split systems, chillers, controls and preventive maintenance agreements. You’ll run local service routes and jobsite installs, perform system start-ups and testing, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and complete preventive maintenance inspections. Reliable attendance, the ability to work independently or lead a small crew, and clear communication with dispatch and customers are essential.

What you'll do

• • Install commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork and controls per drawings and specs
• • Perform system start-up, testing, balancing and commissioning tasks
• • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults on commercial units
• • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and complete service reports
• • Lead small crews or act as on-site foreman when assigned; coordinate parts and labor
• • Maintain service records, report parts usage, and communicate status to dispatch/customers

What we're looking for

• • Several years of hands-on commercial HVAC experience (service, install, or both)
• • Proven ability with system start-up, testing and system troubleshooting
• • Strong mechanical, refrigeration and electrical troubleshooting skills
• • Experience performing preventive maintenance inspections and repairs
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel
• • Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces and stand for long periods

Qualifications

• • EPA Section 608 (Type II/Universal) certification
• • Trade school or technical training in HVAC/R preferred
• • NATE or manufacturer-specific certifications are a plus
• • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• • English required; Spanish helpful
