Ironworker — Structural Bolt-Up
About This Role
Ironworker needed in Beaumont, TX to perform bolt-up assembly and installation of structural steel in a fabrication facility. You will read and interpret fabrication drawings, align and fit structural components, and complete bolt-up assemblies to meet quality and safety standards. This is hands-on work in both indoor and outdoor conditions. The role is suited to experienced ironworkers who take pride in accurate fits, strong math and blueprint skills, and a commitment to safe, productive work. What You'll Do
- • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and material lists to plan assembly steps
- • Align, position, fit, and clamp structural steel components for bolt-up assembly
- • Install bolts, torque to spec, and complete structural connections per drawings and procedures
- • Inspect and receive incoming materials; check dimensions and report discrepancies
- • Operate hand and power tools, hoists, and rigging equipment safely during assembly
- • Follow all safety and quality procedures while working indoors and outdoors in varying weather
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 3 years ironworking, structural steel, or fabrication experience preferred
- • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and layout marks
- • Strong math and problem-solving skills for measuring and aligning components
- • Comfortable performing physical work: lifting, climbing, and working at heights
- • Experience operating common tools and equipment used in structural assembly
- • Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED preferred; technical school certificate a plus
- • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30) preferred or willingness to obtain
- • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- • Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging certification helpful
