Ironworker — Structural Fabrication (Beaumont, TX)
About This Role
Join a fabrication team in Beaumont, TX as an Ironworker focused on bolt-up assembly and installation of structural steel. You’ll work from fabrication drawings to align, fit and secure structural components in a shop environment and on site. The role requires steady hands, solid blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to safe, quality work. This is hands-on work in both indoor and outdoor conditions. You’ll handle materials, operate common assembly tools and equipment, inspect incoming components, and follow safety and quality procedures. What You'll Do
- • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings and work orders to plan assembly
- • Align, position and fit structural steel components for bolt-up
- • Perform bolt-up assembly and install structural sections per drawings and specs
- • Inspect and receive materials; check parts for correct size and damage
- • Safely operate hand and power tools, rigging gear, and small material-handling equipment
- • Work indoors and outdoors; follow all site and shop safety and quality procedures
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 3 years experience in ironworking, structural steel or fabrication preferred
- • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications
- • Strong basic math and measuring skills (tolerances, layout, basic geometry)
- • Comfort working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- • Physical stamina — lift, carry and position heavy components safely
- • Commitment to following safety rules, PPE use, and quality standards
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED preferred
- • Technical or trade school certificate in metal fabrication or related field preferred
- • 3+ years structural steel/fabrication experience preferred
- • OSHA 10-hour (or higher) preferred
- • Forklift/rigging certification preferred
- • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- • English proficiency required; Spanish a plus
