What you'll do

  • Install, assemble and weld HDPE piping (butt fusion/electrofusion or equivalent techniques) and connect to related equipment
  • Read and interpret piping and mechanical blueprints to mark and prepare work, then install per drawings and specifications
  • Install and service hydraulic and pneumatic components, valves, flanges and related piping hardware
  • Perform routine system troubleshooting, leak repairs, and pressure testing as directed by foreman or lead
  • Work safely in confined spaces, tight areas and around live equipment; follow lockout/tagout and site safety procedures

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years commercial construction pipefitting experience preferred; solid hands-on pipefitting background required
  • Able to read and interpret piping and mechanical blueprints and lay out work from drawings
  • Experience welding and joining HDPE piping and general pipefitting skills (threading, grooving, flanging, bolting)
  • Capable of frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces and at heights as required
  • Must follow strict drug-free workplace policy and be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
  • Proven ability to work as part of a crew, follow directions, and maintain a strong focus on safety and quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card preferred; site-specific safety training required
  • Confined space entry training and ability to work safely in tight areas
  • Experience or certification in HDPE fusion welding or pipe joining methods preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to jobsite
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English on site; additional languages a plus

What we offer

  • Medical, dental and vision plan options available
  • Retirement savings plan (401k) with employer contribution options
  • Paid time off and company-observed holidays
  • Site-paid safety training and support for certifications related to piping work
  • PPE and basic tools provided or tool allowance where applicable
  • Steady commercial project work in the Columbia, TN area with opportunities for advancement
