Commercial Pipefitter (Nationwide)

Nationwide $24-$41/hr

About this role

Join a nationwide team installing and maintaining process, mechanical and sanitary piping systems on commercial construction projects. This hands-on role focuses on layout, assembly, installation and repair of piping and supports — including HDPE fusion and welding — across industrial, institutional, and commercial sites. This is physical work that often requires entering confined spaces, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following strict site safety and drug-free policies. Ideal candidates have commercial construction pipefitting experience, can read mechanical blueprints, and are ready to work on projects across the country.

What you'll do

  • Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment
  • Install, assemble and weld/fuse HDPE piping and connect to mechanical systems
  • Work on steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, sanitary and process systems
  • Read and interpret piping and mechanical blueprints, isometrics and schematics; coordinate with other trades
  • Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on piping systems and components
  • Perform physical tasks on site: lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, maintain tools and equipment, and follow site safety protocols

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years commercial construction pipefitting experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience installing and welding/fusing HDPE piping
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in confined environments
  • Proven ability to read and follow piping/mechanical blueprints and schematics
  • Willingness to travel to job sites nationwide and comply with site drug-free and safety policies

Qualifications

  • HDPE fusion/welding certification or documented experience
  • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) and confined space entry training
  • Completion of a pipefitting apprenticeship or equivalent field experience preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

What we offer

  • Medical, dental and vision plan options
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off and holiday pay
  • Overtime opportunities and consistent project scheduling
  • Site-specific safety training and trade skill development
  • Travel assignments supported with per diem or lodging when required
