Local crews in Cartersville, GA are hiring NCCER-certified pipelayers for underground utility and trench projects. This is hands-on field work installing plastic and steel pipe, prepping bedding, and performing pipe testing on municipal and commercial jobs. Expect a day-to-day focus on excavation, trench stabilization, dewatering, and precise grade work using laser, level, and transit. What you'll do

• • Unload, handle and stage pipe, fittings and bedding materials at the jobsite
• • Set line and grade using laser, level and transit; verify elevations and alignment
• • Install plastic and steel pipe, joints and fittings per plans and specs
• • Prepare trench bedding, stabilize sides, backfill and compact to spec
• • Operate trench dewatering equipment and maintain dry work areas
• • Perform pipe testing, inspect joints, and document installation for QA/QC

What we're looking for

• • Proven pipelaying experience working on underground utilities and trench systems
• • NCCER pipelayer credential preferred or equivalent demonstrated skill
• • Proficiency with plastic and steel pipe installation and pipe testing methods
• • Experience with trench stabilization, bedding, dewatering, excavation and compaction
• • Competent using laser, level and transit for setting line and grade
• • Ability to load/unload materials, operate basic site equipment, and follow site safety protocols

Qualifications

• • NCCER pipelayer certification (preferred/required)
• • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
• • Comfort working outdoors in trenches and around heavy equipment
