Construction Project Manager

About this role

We are hiring a Construction Project Manager based in Columbus, OH to lead commercial and general construction projects across the state. You will run job sites, coordinate crews and subcontractors, keep projects on schedule, and make sure work meets quality and regulatory standards. This role is hands-on and field-focused. Expect regular site visits across Ohio, direct supervision of trades, frequent client contact, permit and inspection coordination, and ownership of project documentation from start to finish.

What you'll do

• • Plan and manage daily site operations: schedules, crews, and subcontractors to meet project milestones
• • Monitor project budgets, review estimates and change orders, and control materials/inventory on site
• • Coordinate permits, inspections, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• • Conduct quality checks, enforce safety standards, and resolve field issues to maintain project standards
• • Keep detailed project documentation and progress reports; communicate status to clients and stakeholders
• • Identify risks and implement mitigation plans; handle subcontractor/vendor relationships and disputes

What we're looking for

• • Proven construction project management experience in commercial or general construction
• • Strong leadership and team-management skills; direct supervision of trades and subcontractors
• • Clear verbal and written communication for client meetings, reports, and team direction
• • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, cost estimation, and inventory control
• • Experience managing permits, inspections, and compliance with regulations
• • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project documentation tools

Qualifications

• • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
• • 5+ years managing commercial construction projects or equivalent field experience
• • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel across Ohio
• • Familiarity with project management software and MS Office
• • Ability to pass background and drug screening; Spanish language skills a plus
