NDE Technician – Level II (MT/PT)

About this role

We’re hiring a Level II NDE Technician to perform nondestructive examinations and quality inspections in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial setting in Walker, LA. This role runs on day and night shifts and focuses on MT/PT work plus other NDE methods to support project quality requirements. You’ll run inspections, set up and calibrate equipment, document results, and report defects. Strong attention to detail, proper documentation, and the ability to guide Level I technicians are required. Pay is up to $90,000/yr with benefits eligibility within the first 30 days and a 10% night shift differential.

What you'll do

  • Perform MT and PT inspections and other NDE exams (VT, UT, RT), plus dimensional, leak and material verification per codes and procedures
  • Set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain NDE equipment and instrumentation; ensure calibration records are current
  • Accurately evaluate, interpret, and document inspection results; prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records
  • Identify and report defects/nonconformances and follow escalation procedures; provide guidance and oversight to Level I NDE personnel
  • Support project quality objectives by following applicable procedures, specs, and acceptance criteria while maintaining a clean, safe work area

What we're looking for

  • Level II Magnetic Particle (MT) certification — required
  • Level II Liquid Penetrant (PT) certification — required; Level II Visual (VT) preferred
  • Previous NDE/NDT experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
  • Able to read and interpret inspection procedures, drawings, and specifications and accurately document results
  • Willing to work day or night shifts and follow safety procedures; strong attention to detail and good communication skills

Qualifications

  • Level II Magnetic Particle (MT) certification — required
  • Level II Liquid Penetrant (PT) certification — required
  • Level II Visual Testing (VT) certification — preferred
  • OSHA 10 (or equivalent) — required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to read/interpret drawings and technical documentation
  • Fluent in English for reading reports and communicating inspection results
