QA / QC Manager (Level II NDT Inspector)

About this role

Seeking a hands-on QA/QC Manager (Level II NDT Inspector) to perform quality inspections and testing on mechanical and welded components in Walker, LA. You'll run MT, PT, VT and other inspection methods, set up and maintain test equipment, evaluate results, and keep clear, accurate records. This is a field-ready role that requires working to established procedures and following safety rules. Day and night shifts are available (10% night shift differential). Benefits and 401(k) eligibility begin within the first 30 days, PTO after 90 days, and paid holidays. This role requires Level II MT, PT, and VT certifications and the ability to supervise Level I personnel while working with minimal supervision. Note: this position does not pay per diem.

What you'll do

  • Perform mechanical, dimensional, visual, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing, and material verification inspections per procedures
  • Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain inspection equipment and instrumentation; perform routine equipment checks
  • Evaluate and document inspection and test results; generate clear reports and nonconformance records as required
  • Provide discipline-specific oversight and on-the-job guidance to Level I personnel
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and adhere to all project and safety rules (PPE, lockout/tagout, etc.)
  • Work under minimal supervision and follow pre-established guidelines; perform other duties as assigned

What we're looking for

  • Current Level II certifications for MT, PT, and VT (required)
  • Hands-on experience performing NDT inspections and interpreting results across multiple methods
  • Ability to set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain inspection equipment and instrumentation
  • Experience supervising or guiding Level I technicians and enforcing inspection procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate and clearly report inspection/test findings
  • Willingness to work day or night shifts and follow all safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Level II MT, PT, VT certifications (required)
  • OSHA 10 (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional NDT certifications (RT, UT, etc.) or welding inspection credentials (CWI) are a plus
  • Fluent English — able to read procedures and complete inspection reports
