QA / QC Manager (NDT Level II)
About this role
We are hiring an experienced Level II NDT inspector to perform hands-on quality inspections and testing on-site in Walker, LA. You will run MT, PT, VT inspections and other NDT methods, set up and calibrate equipment, evaluate results, and document findings while working to established procedures. This role provides discipline-specific oversight to Level I personnel and operates with minimal supervision. Day and night shifts are available (10% night shift differential). Benefits and 401(k) eligibility begin after 30 days. This position does not pay per diem.
What you'll do
- • Perform mechanical, dimensional, visual, radiographic (RT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), ultrasonic (UT), leak testing, and material verification inspections per procedures
- • Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain inspection equipment and instrumentation; ensure calibration records are accurate
- • Provide oversight and discipline-specific guidance to Level I technicians and review their inspection work
- • Evaluate and document inspection and test results; prepare clear reports and maintain inspection records
- • Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean, orderly work areas; comply with project and site rules
- • Work from pre-established guidelines and report to supervisor while performing duties with minimal supervision
What we're looking for
- • Current Level II certifications for MT, PT, and VT (required)
- • OSHA 10 certification (required)
- • Hands-on experience with RT, UT, MT, PT, visual, leak testing and material verification
- • Ability to set up, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain NDT equipment and instrumentation
- • Experience supervising or training Level I NDT personnel and enforcing inspection procedures
- • Available for day or night shifts and able to follow strict safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
- • Level II NDT certifications: MT, PT, VT (required)
- • OSHA 10 certification (required)
- • Additional NDT certifications (UT, RT) preferred
- • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or welding inspection experience — a plus
- • High school diploma or equivalent
- • Fluent English for clear written and verbal reporting
