Construction Superintendent

About this role

Lead field operations on vertical and structural construction projects in the Van Wert, OH area. You will supervise finishers, laborers, and equipment operators, coordinate daily work and deliveries, enforce site safety, and keep projects on schedule with clear, hands-on leadership. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires strong communication with project leadership and client teams, accurate daily documentation, and the ability to adapt to changing site needs. Expect early starts, occasional overtime, and steady, multi-week projects.

What you'll do

• • Supervise and coordinate crews (finishers, laborers, equipment operators) to complete daily scope safely and to quality standards.
• • Review plans and specs with project leadership, organize daily work, and allocate labor and equipment.
• • Track daily production, coordinate material deliveries, and flag potential schedule impacts to project leadership.
• • Perform daily safety checks, lead toolbox talks, and enforce OSHA/site safety requirements.
• • Complete daily reports: labor hours, material usage, progress photos, and site logs.
• • Set up mock-ups, verify quality before installation, and support turnover requirements.

What we're looking for

• • 5+ years construction experience, including vertical and structural work.
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and basic technical details.
• • Hands-on leadership: crew supervision, on-the-job training, and clear communication.
• • Experience coordinating deliveries, equipment, and daily production tracking.
• • Strong safety mindset with experience enforcing OSHA standards and site rules.
• • Reliable attendance, ability to work early starts and occasional overtime; valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• • First Aid & CPR certification (required)
• • OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred)
• • 5+ years documented construction experience
• • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
