Electrical General Superintendent

About this role

Lead field operations for multiple electrical projects in the Raleigh, NC area. You’ll plan, direct, and supervise installation and maintenance work, keep projects on schedule, and coordinate closely with project managers, BIM, prefab, QA/QC and safety teams. This is a hands-on superintendent role — you’ll create and maintain schedules and manpower plans, manage material and logistics, enforce safety and quality standards, and help train and evaluate field crews and temporary associates. Ten-plus years of superintendent/general superintendent experience in electrical construction is required.

What you'll do

  • Supervise daily electrical field work across multiple projects; assign crews, set production goals, and ensure work follows drawings and specs
  • Create and maintain project schedules, manpower projections, and field organization charts; update weekly with PMs and Field Ops
  • Develop and manage material management and jobsite logistics plans: order, receive, stage, and track materials
  • Create and enforce site-specific safety plans and QA/QC procedures; coordinate with onsite safety and QA/QC staff
  • Lead BIM layout and prefabrication coordination: review drawings, set BIM schedules, and ensure prefab assemblies meet specs
  • Assist with training, performance reviews, and evaluation of field employees and temporary associates

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years as a Superintendent or General Superintendent in electrical construction
  • Strong knowledge of conduit, raceways, medium/high voltage equipment, transformers, motor controllers, and lighting systems
  • Proven experience with scheduling, manpower planning, material logistics, safety plans, QA/QC, BIM and prefabrication coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, installation drawings, and technical specs
  • Proficient with construction software and tools (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk/ BIM tools); effective written and verbal communication
  • Physically able to work indoors/outdoors, lift ~50 lbs regularly, travel between job sites, and pass drug/background screening

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30-hour construction safety card (preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Journeyman electrician credential or equivalent electrical field experience preferred
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Autodesk/BIM tools
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check; English required, Spanish a plus
