Electrical General Superintendent
About this role
Experienced Electrical General Superintendent needed to oversee multiple electrical projects across the Raleigh, NC area. You will lead field crews, create and maintain project schedules, manage material logistics, and make sure jobs meet safety, code and quality standards. This role works close with project management, field operations, BIM and prefabrication teams. You'll set daily priorities on site, track manpower and production goals, and help train and evaluate field staff and temporary associates. Must have 10+ years of superintendent/general superintendent experience in electrical construction and be comfortable on active commercial job sites.
What you'll do
- • Supervise and coordinate electrical installation across multiple projects in the Raleigh area — lead foremen and crews, set daily work plans, and enforce safe work practices.
- • Create and maintain project schedules, manpower projections, and field organization charts; update schedules weekly with Project Managers and Field Ops.
- • Develop and manage material management and jobsite logistics plans — order, receive, stage, and track material to meet installation dates.
- • Build and maintain site-specific safety and QA/QC plans; work with onsite safety and QA/QC staff to resolve issues and manage punch lists.
- • Lead BIM layout and drawing reviews before prefabrication and installation; coordinate prefabrication schedules and assembly deliveries.
- • Coach, train and assist Field Operation Managers with performance reviews for employees and temporary associates; set measurable production goals.
What we're looking for
- • 10+ years’ experience as a Superintendent or General Superintendent in electrical construction, managing commercial projects.
- • Strong knowledge of NEC, commercial electrical systems, conduit and raceway installation, medium/high voltage and distribution equipment.
- • Hands-on experience with scheduling, manpower planning, material logistics, QA/QC, safety programs, BIM coordination and prefabrication.
- • Proven ability to read and verify construction drawings, set layout in BIM, and coordinate with trades and vendors on site.
- • Comfortable working outdoors and indoors on active sites; must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and travel between local job sites.
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED required; construction-related technical training preferred
- • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation to local job sites
- • OSHA 30-hour card or equivalent site-safety training preferred; First Aid/CPR a plus
- • Knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk/Revit (BIM) and Microsoft Office
- • Must be able to pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening
