Warehouse Associate
About this role
Join a hands-on warehouse team in Durham, NC focused on receiving, moving, storing, and staging materials safely and accurately. You will handle incoming deliveries, prepare orders for shipment or internal use, and keep inventory records current while using approved material handling equipment. This role emphasizes safety, speed, and attention to detail. You’ll work on-site with other warehouse staff, follow site-specific safety procedures, report equipment or process issues, and help maintain a clean, organized work area so materials flow smoothly to production or job sites.
What you'll do
- • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and deliveries
- • Pick, pack, and stage materials for shipment or internal use to meet processing timelines
- • Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment
- • Conduct routine inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update records
- • Maintain clean, safe work areas; report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards
What we're looking for
- • Experience loading/unloading materials and preparing orders for shipment
- • Proven forklift operation skills and safe equipment handling
- • Basic data entry and inventory control knowledge for accurate recordkeeping
- • Comfort with heavy lifting and physically active warehouse work
- • Familiarity with signing for deliveries and following regulatory/safety rules
Qualifications
- • Valid forklift operator certification
- • Previous warehouse or material handling experience
- • Basic computer skills for scanning and data entry
- • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- • Ability to follow site-specific safety training and procedures
