Power Yard Foreman

About this role

Hands-on foreman-level role supporting electrical crews in Rayville, LA. You’ll handle material loading/unloading and staging, manage tools and inventory, keep the yard and work areas safe and organized, and help with power yard construction tasks. This role moves quickly — we expect to start someone in the next few weeks. We want a practical, reliable person who communicates clearly with crews, knows how to run a forklift and other material-handling gear, and can use hand and power tools safely. What you'll do

  • Coordinate and perform material loading, unloading and staging to support electrical crews
  • Manage tools, equipment and inventory: check in/out, tag, store and track supplies
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely; assist with fleet care and basic maintenance
  • Prepare and maintain safe, organized work areas and power yard zones; perform site cleanup and traffic/flagging as needed
  • Assist crews with power yard construction activities: site layout, scaffolding setup and general construction support
  • Conduct inventory counts, report shortages, and communicate reorder needs to supervisors

What we're looking for

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable travel to the Rayville site
  • Proficient with hand and power tools and able to perform general construction tasks safely
  • Experience with warehouse material handling, inventory control and tool management
  • Forklift operation experience (certification preferred) and comfort operating material-handling equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication; able to coordinate across crews and report issues clearly
  • Physically able to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in varying weather, and follow site safety rules

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license (required)
  • Forklift certification preferred; proven experience operating material-handling equipment
  • OSHA 10 (or equivalent) and basic safety training preferred; CPR/First Aid a plus
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • English required; Spanish or other language skills a plus
