About This Role

Work as a Rodbuster based in Marshall, NC, tying and placing rebar on bridge and highway projects. Most work is outdoors on bridge footings, columns, decks, barrier walls and approach slabs. Expect a fast-paced crew environment where safety, quality, and meeting schedules come first. This role includes hands-on rebar work and travel as needed for regional projects (may include work across FL). Pay is $23–$31.50/hr (higher rates require passing the NCCER assessment). Training, steady work, and career development are provided for motivated crew members who take initiative and work safely.

What You'll Do

• • Carry, position, mark, bend, and tie reinforcing bars for bridge footings, columns, decks, approach slabs, and barrier walls
• • Pre-tie and set rebar cages and assemblies according to design drawings and foreman direction
• • Tie bars using wire and pliers; secure horizontal and vertical placements for paving, walls, and columns
• • Load/unload and place rebar bundles; work as part of a lifting team when required
• • Follow all safety and project rules; report unsafe conditions and stop work if hazards are observed

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 6 months documented field rebar experience (ironwork-only experience is not sufficient)
• • Able to consistently lift up to 75 lbs and handle long rebar lengths (10–60 ft) safely
• • Reliable transportation to and from job sites and ability to travel for regional projects
• • Comfortable working outdoors and at heights in a fast-paced team environment
• • Willingness to work overtime, nights, or weekends as project schedules require

Qualifications

• • NCCER certification or willingness to complete assessment for higher pay
• • Legally authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify employer)
• • Access to basic rodbusting tools; ability to maintain tools and equipment
• • Minimum 6 months documented field rebar experience
• • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• • Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions and construction drawings
