Rodbuster / Concrete Laborer — Lake Charles, LA

About this role

Seeking experienced rodbusters and concrete laborers for industrial projects in the Lake Charles, LA area. This is a per diem, site-based role working on reinforced concrete — bridges, buildings, slabs-on-grade and industrial structures. Candidates must have proven industrial experience and a valid TWIC card. Work is project-driven and hands-on: cut, bend and tie rebar, fabricate cages, install rebar in walls, columns and slabs, and support general concrete reinforcing tasks. Per diem assignments are available for qualified candidates with solid rebar/rodbuster backgrounds.

What you'll do

• • Cut, bend and tie rebar to project drawings and layout
• • Fabricate and assemble rebar cages and mats for slabs, walls and columns
• • Install rebar in bridge, building and slab-on-grade (SOG) concrete structures
• • Reinforce concrete with wire mesh and place spacers/shims as required
• • Load and unload material, tools and equipment at job sites
• • Perform general concrete labor duties to support finishing and placement crews

What we're looking for

• • Industrial construction experience required (industrial projects, plants or infrastructure)
• • Valid TWIC card required for site access
• • Proven ability to cut, bend, tie rebar and fabricate rebar cages
• • Experience with SOG, wall and column rebar placement and concrete reinforcing
• • Physically able to lift, carry and work in outdoor and industrial site conditions
• • Available for per diem, project-based assignments in the Lake Charles area

Qualifications

• • TWIC card (required)
• • Prior rodbuster/rebar experience on industrial projects
• • Able to read basic drawings, layouts and take measurements
• • Comfortable following site safety rules and wearing required PPE
• • Willingness to work per diem/project assignments and travel locally
