Every employer in the Skillit network passes a safety-culture review before they post a single job. We verify protocols, incident-response standards, and on-site accountability — the same checks you’d run before walking onto a site you didn't build.
Our members build critical infrastructure. The work is physical, the margins are tight, and the environment has to be safe. Skillit only grows when craft pros finish the job, get home whole, and recommend the network to the next person looking. That’s the business model.

You sign up for access to construction projects and set your pay and availability.We’ll scan for matches.
We look at your profile, and check for jobs that might be a good fit for you. Pay transparency and potential competing employer offers allow for greater choices.You accept the right offer. We get paid.
The construction companies within our network pay us when we make a connection.

Clear face photos — let your future employer know who you are
Accurate and honest information about your work experience, certifications, and availability. Update your profile if anything changes or reach out to Skillit if you have any issues or questions.

Professional communication
Communicate respectfully and professionally with Skillit customers and the Skillit team.
Use clear language in texts, calls, and messages.
Responsiveness
Respond to calls, texts, or messages from Skillit and employers as soon as you can.
If you miss a message, reply when you’re available so we can keep your opportunities moving.
Interview and meeting reliability
If you schedule an interview, call, or onsite meeting with an employer, be on time and prepared.
If you cannot make it, notify Skillit as early as possible so we can reschedule.
Reliability and follow-through
If you accept a role or commit to a start date, follow through and communicate immediately if plans change.
Failure to collaborate could result in Skillit being forced to reject your profile for future opportunities with employers in the network.
